I think we have lost a lot of that in the modern world and the internet has played its part. We have lost some of the ability to impart a story verbally.

A matter of weeks before writing this, I had a meeting with one of my management team. The company had just emerged from three or four months of intense activity, which had built up to a crescendo in order to reach a certain point so I could convince the board to do something very specific.
